The goal of this online programming is to educate providers on malpractice claims involving patients who presented to the emergency department. Participants will be introduced to the current literature and review recent data on malpractice claims and settlements. Learners will examine provider documentation approaches and discuss controversies in the setting of the new documentation and billing format. The webinar will conclude with a question and answer discussion of action items and future directions for emergency medicine providers.
