The NEMPAC VIP Reception is an excellent chance to network with ACEP leaders and your colleagues who support a strong, unified advocacy effort on behalf of emergency medicine and patients.

NEMPAC donors at the Sterling level or above ($600 for attending physicians/$60 for residents and medical students annually) are invited and encouraged to attend. Donors who are currently eligible will receive an invitation via email.

Not sure about your VIP status or want to increase? You can simply contribute or email us to find out your donor status.

NEMPAC's ACEP22 Highlights

During ACEP22 in San Francisco, hundreds of ACEP members affirmed their commitment to advocacy on behalf of emergency medicine and patients. ACEP leadership stepped up once again during the annual NEMPAC Council Challenge, raising over $275,000 towards our $1 million annual goal. 85 percent of the Council donated, and 34 percent donated at the premier "Give-a-Shift" level.

34 chapters of the 48 represented at the Council meeting reached 100% participation this year: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Many sections also participated at 100%: AAWEP, Careers in Emergency Medicine, Democratic Group Practice, Diversity and Inclusion, Dual Training, Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens, Workforce, EMS Prehospital Care, Forensic Medicine, Freestanding Emergency Centers, Government Services, and Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.

On Friday evening, NEMPAC VIP donors were recognized at a special reception at the View Lounge in the San Francisco Marriott Marquis for their generous support over the past year. In addition, the popular NEMPAC "Give-a-Shift" Donor Lounge was open from Saturday through Monday in the Convention Center. Our highest-level VIP donors also were invited to a happy hour with special guests Rep. Raul Ruiz, MD, FACEP (D-CA-36) and Dr. Kermit Jones, an internist and NEMPAC-supported candidate for the open seat in California’s 3rd Congressional District.

NEMPAC Distinguished Speaker Series

The series is a unique benefit for NEMPAC VIP Donors featuring a congressional speaker who has worked with ACEP on legislative issues of importance to emergency medicine and patients. These interactive, virtual events provide the opportunity for VIP Donors to hear from a key member of Congress about the latest in health care policy and the political environment in Washington, DC.

Our 2021 guests were Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee Rep. Richie Neal (D-MA-01), Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI-06).

All Give-a-Shift donors will receive an invitation via email.
